What is The Locust?
The Locust is one of the three creatures credited to DoctorNowhere. During a run the game can print "The locust doesn't breach lit areas." A lobby pick has also been heard as "Locus." Players who heard that spelling did not already know the name. Nothing in recorded play describes what it looks like, so the tip and the lobby name are the identification. It works doors and windows, including upstairs, and has jumped through a window. A player gave about three seconds once it starts through a frame. That figure is one estimate. It can cross the house, skip the rooms, and cut the power, leaving a flashlight with no battery useless. Once inside it chases, and one player saw it vanish mid-chase. A night was described as about three pushes. That is one impression, not a stage list.

How do you get The Locust?
Selected as the night's creature in the lobby, or named by the lit-area tip after the round starts.
How do you use The Locust?
Restore house power as soon as it is safe. In the recorded Locust run, power coming back lined up with the creature disappearing. That follows the tip, and it is still one run, so keep the entrances shut afterward. Do not open doors to check during a push. A flashlight is not confirmed to count as a lit area. If it is already inside, look for a closet before the lights die. Hiding is verified for the game. The round that proved the closet was only named as "Locus or the boy," so it is not a Locust-only counter. Play to 6:00 a.m. Players expected a walk-off at morning. No recording shows that exit.
